Free Smart Intranet
Free Smart Intranet consists of two use cases: 1) Explore topics, and 2) Reuse knowledge.
The first use case is based on exploration of information. It is largely driven by human curiosity on the demand side, and social media presence on the supply side.
The second use case focuses on reuse of knowledge, which is based on clever use of taxonomies as part of models. Models in turn relate to domains. Domains and models are part of a logical universe in which similar conditions have similar knowledge requirements.
The first use case is related to knowledge exploration, whereas the second use case is related to knowledge exploitation (two key knowledge management concepts).

The core idea behind Smart Intranet is that users can post social messages and relate them to various topics. Smart Intranet is corporate bound. Topics are managed at the corporate level around taxonomies.
From a knowledge management perspective, Smart Intranet supports the knowledge processes of Knowledge Capture and Knowledge Integration.
A key sub-function is 'Taxonomy Management', which can be applied to, for example, projects and project models. In case of project models there is a hierarchy of management and specialist products.
